FDR Four Freedoms Speech American security been as seriously threatened from without as
it is today, the war is no small task and when thinking of our children and of their children we oppose enforced isolation for ourselves or for any other part of the Americas. We are committed to all-inclusive national defense to report that the future and the safety of our country and of our democracy are overwhelmingly involved in events. The most important role is to act as arsenal for them as well as for ourselves by which following the four freedoms, freedom of speech and expression, every person to worship God in his own way, a nation of healthy peacetime life, and freedom of fear. "We Americans are vitally concerned in your defense of freedom, to give you the strength to regain and maintain a free world.’’ “The world order which we seek is the cooperation of free countries, working together in a friendly, civilized society.” ‘’We must especially beware of that small group of selfish men who would clip the wings of the American eagle in order to feather their own nests.” |
Hitlers May Day SpeechAdolf Hitler’s speech was based on his opinion of Germany needing
more space. He believed that their nation needed more room for resources, concluding in more production. “The most important word in managing our National Socialist economy is not the word ‘theory’, or the word ‘money’, or ‘capital’but the word ‘production’.” He convinced others that the way he became such a “[high] position” was because he “always obeyed orders.” The people of Germany then thought that in order to be successful, they also had to obey orders given to them. Not just certain orders, but every order had to be followed. “You, too, must be able to obey orders, or else you will never be worthy of giving orders!” Hitler also stated that if people followed their religion over these orders that he has given, that the State won’t involve itself with them. |
